The basics of my work

Here you will find answers to common questions, which people usually ask me. In case you still have any questions after reading this, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can find the contact form on the bottom of the page.

Is hypnosis dangerous and am I without a will of my own when being hypnotised?

Neither one, nor the other! When performed correctly and reliably by a trustworthy professional, it is not dangerous. “Show hypnosis”, performed on stage not to heal, but ultimately for the purposes of entertainment, can sometimes be a different matter.

In a professional hypnosis one’s own will and ability to act not only remain; in fact, self-determination is even strengthened. Sessions take place in a trusting and protected environment.

Of course, self-hypnosis is also not dangerous. In general, people find it very agreeable and it can be used flexibly.

What should I expect from a session?

If you think hypnosis is a magical cure that works without you doing anything, you will be disappointed. On the one hand, medical hypnosis has an impact on your subconscious and on the other, it will help you become more aware of your issues, while at the same time supporting you in dealing with them. The more open you are to do that, the more profound and effective the sessions will be. In the end, it depends on you. With a professional by your side, this process will be made easier.

Weight loss with hypnosis - How many sessions are required for your personal success?

As every single person is different with regard to their prerequisites and their reasons for overweight, this question is difficult to answer. During the last years, my clients needed 5 to 6 sessions on average to gain success. Please be aware that there still might be huge deviations into both directions.

Can everyone be hypnotised?

More or less everyone can be hypnotised. However, it usually depends on people really wanting it and being open to it. Self-hypnosis is very easy to learn for most people.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a scientific therapeutic method that is being used in medicine, psychotherapy and increasingly also for coaching.

The world as we perceive it is based on the power of inner images that we store in our subconscious mind. When in a state of trance, which is essentially nothing else than focusing one’s attention, these images can easily be recognised and effectively being worked on through hypnosis.

In this context, learning methods of self-hypnosis is a very effective add-on, providing clients not only with the ability to work on their wellbeing themselves but also with a powerful tool for their health.

What is meditation?

Mediation means unconditional presence, inner clarity and balance. It is the base for coping with the specific challenges of our accelerated, digital age. A variety of meditation techniques help to reach the actual state of meditation.

Coaching that works with meditation uses a personalised selection of these techniques that is suitable for you and your current situation; either activating to get processes in motion or stabilising so that the newly learned can settle.

The aim of meditative coaching is to integrate the experiences of silence and the moments of concentrating on oneself into everyday professional and private life, to intensify your life and thereby find more inner calm and contentment.

What is de-hypnosis?

Though de-hypnosis uses specific techniques of classical hypnotherapy, the differences are immense:
De-Hypnosis is focussing on health and not on the symptom. While conventional hypnosis mainly works with suggestions, de-hypnosis largely avoids them. The basic aim is consciousness rather than trance and the whole understanding is based on meditation. Basically de-hypnosis is a method for deconditioning.
